We are adopting... well at least attempting to again. Our blog is messy. Our adoption picture isn't of Ghana - its Kazakhstan. Our adoption timeline counter is way behind. Our web address doesn't make sense -we are adopting from Ghana - not Kazakhstan - and so on. But that's how life goes... particularly adoption. You start... you stop. You think you are going somewhere - and then you end up 4 years later in a different country.. and the farther down the journey you go the more you realize just how much God is in control - and how little you are.
I've been a little more hesitant to begin blogging this time around. We got so excited about our failed Kazak adoption 4 years ago and I know that in adoption - especially international - anything can happen. Today we mailed in our I600-A application with our completed homestudy. Things are moving right along with our adoption which should be a 2 or 3 year process... we are excited.
Stay tuned.

Life is good.
Life is good. I update facebook but thought I'd post a few pics of Linc. He is an amazing energetic hilarious little boy. We both love him so much more than we ever thought possible. Looking back through our blog I remember the desperation of thinking we'd never have a baby. God is good. Not only do we have little Lincoln but I'm 20 weeks pregnant with his little brother.
Lincoln is 14 months old and makes me laugh every second of the day. He is all boy, loves playing outside... loves his dog and is a cuddle master.

Praise God!!!!!!!
Good news all around...
First and foremost, I have a date scheduled for induction. We are going into the hospital to begin the labor drugs late Tuesday night (Feb. 10th) and we should have the baby hopefully by Wed. (Feb. 11th). For all that don't know, Abraham Lincoln's bday is Feb. 12 so if he comes then it'll be cool too.
Second... Chris recieved a job offer today from his number one job choice. He'll be working in medical sales and couldn't be happier. It's something he's excited about and I think it'll be a great industry to learn. We feel so blessed and fortunate. Now we can just focus on baby!
The next post will be baby pictures!!!!!!!!!!

Little Lincoln
Well I can't believe it... Lincoln will be here in a week no matter what, maybe sooner. It's so wierd. It feels kind of like your wedding day, when it goes by in a whirlwind and at the end of the day you look back and think, 'holy crap, I'm married!'. I think that's probably how I'll feel about the baby. I know he's coming but I'm sure when he's here and I'm finally holding him, I'll have my own 'holy crap here's really here' moment.
I'm starting to get a little freaked out knowing he's coming so soon. But we are also so very excited. I can't wait to see my husband's face when he holds him.

Winter Wonderings...
55 days to go. I can't believe it. We are so ready to meet little Lincoln. I decided once it finally turns January and we are a month away, we can start putting together all the baby things and packing 'the bag' for the big day. I know it will be here before we know it.
Chris is still looking for a job but has some good leads for which we are really thankful. It would be great to have that off our plates before Linc gets here.
My nausea has come back full force now... I've already thrown up twice today and it's only 10am. I can't imagine how much better I'm going to feel once this baby arrives. I think being so sick throughout the pregnancy will make infant care very liberating. I won't complain one minute about being up all night I promise...
I can't help but think about what next Christmas is going to be like with an 11 month old crawling around the tree. It's going to be awesome!

scary times
Chris got laid off today. I think it's a bunch of crap and he got screwed because he was the new guy down here. It's pretty disappointing because I know he's great and loves his job. Stupid construction industry. I feel terrible and don't know what to say to him. My sister's fiance got laid off as well. Bad day for the fam.
I keep reminding myself God is good... God is in control... and thanking Him for the baby blessing on the way.
Here's to hoping he can find something quickly in this tough job market.
